I want to have laser hair removal on my upper lip, but I’m afraid the hair will grow back thicker. Is that true?

After waxing (which removes the hair from the follicle) or laser treatment (which destroys it), initial hair regrowth is stiff and short and may appear coarse. But there’s no evidence that hairs grow back thicker after waxing or lasering; in fact, they’re usually finer and lighter. For women in Pittsburgh, laser hair removal treatment is an ideal solution because it can remove up to 85 percent of hair for as long as five years. Since hairs go through cycles of growth—something you will notice when tweezing your eyebrows and men will notice when growing a beard—the lasering process involves a series of treatments spaced over four to five weeks. It should be done by a well-trained registered nurse or physician assistant.  Techniques used to minimize acne scarring
