Deep rebuilding and surface resurfacing in one pass, without the classic recovery.
HALO
Every laser is light aimed at one target: pigment, a vessel, a follicle, tattoo ink, or the water in the skin itself. Nine devices cover those targets here, and the consultation decides which one your concern actually calls for.
None of these devices is a better version of the others. Each is tuned to absorb into one thing: broken capillaries and sun spots, the pigment in a follicle, the ink in a tattoo, or the skin's own surface where texture and scarring live. The right device is the one built for your target, at settings set for your skin.
So browse the rail, or do not. The consultation exists precisely so you can arrive with a concern rather than a device name, and leave with a plan.

Before any device is named, your provider looks at what is actually there: the concern that brought you in, your skin type and tone, your sun habits and your history. Light-based treatments are planned around the skin receiving them, not the other way around.
Concern and skin together point to a device, and the device gets settings chosen for you: depth, energy, and how aggressive a single visit should be against how much recovery you can give it.
Eye protection on, then passes of the handpiece over the area. What it feels like depends on the device: some treatments need numbing cream beforehand, others use cooling as they go, and the gentlest ask for neither.
You leave with instructions matched to the treatment, and one rule they all share: treated skin is protected from the sun. Where a course of sessions is the plan, the next visit is scheduled before you go.
By target, then by skin. Each device absorbs into one thing, pigment, vessels, follicles, ink, or the skin's surface, so your concern narrows the field quickly, and your skin type and tolerance for downtime decide among what remains. That is the consultation's job, not yours.
It depends on the device and the concern, which is why every plan starts with an individual assessment. Settings are chosen for your skin first and the result second, and if a particular device is not the safe choice for your tone, your provider will say so and point to what is.
It varies by treatment. Some deliver most of their result in a single visit, while others, hair removal and Laser Genesis among them, are designed as a course and work precisely because they repeat. A course is the normal shape of laser treatment, not a sign it is not working.
Less than most people expect, and it differs by device. The gentler treatments need no numbing at all, while the deeper ones use numbing cream or built-in cooling to keep the visit comfortable. Your provider tells you what to expect from your specific treatment before it starts.
